Term 6

A message from Miss Taylor about the English lessons:

We know the Oak Academy English lessons for Year 2 have not suited all children.  I also have a child in Year 2 and have been trying to follow these lessons with her.  She has found them a little tricky so we have deviated from them a little, for example, writing instructions to cook something that she was interested in rather than the firework instructions set by the Oak Academy.  Next week, we are going to try the Year 1 lessons from the Oak Academy.  I would recommend doing this too if your child has found the Year 2 ones tricky.  We would love to see any writing the children have been doing, even if it is inspired by something else rather than the Oak Academy lessons.
