Maths

We will be continuing to use White Rose for our maths learning this week. Each day, watch the video and then either print the worksheet or just write the answers on paper.

For those children, who are finding the White Rose activity sheets particularly easy, you could try the problem solving extension sheets this week.

This week, we will be exploring measures. Do you have a ruler or tape measure at home? Do you know how to use it? Why don't you go around your house and measure different objects. How tall are you? How tall are your parents? Maybe you could do some cooking and measure using kitchen scales too.

Can you do some Doodle Maths every day?

Year 2 were the best last weekend! But Year 5 overtook you during the week...

...can you get back onto the top spot?

Monday 15th June

Today, we will be measuring length and you will need a ruler with centimetres on. If you aren’t able to print the worksheet, you could ask an adult to draw a rectangle for you to measure instead of doing question 4.

Thursday 25th June

In this lesson, we will be comparing mass. After the lesson, you might want to play this online game!

It starts off very easy but soon builds up to some super challenging questions!

You could also have fun trying to find two objects that you estimate have the same mass and then checking using scales.

Today, you can either do the Friday Bitesize Challenge - click here for the activity.

Or, you can try the challenge of the week below about measures which is called 'Making Longer, Making Shorter'.
