Maths

This week will be our last week on Fractions. We will still be using the White Rose resources but everything has been downloaded ready for you below. You can either print the worksheets off to complete or write the answers in a book or on paper.

Try to do Doodle Maths every day!

Which class will top the table?

As with last week’s learning, you many find the fraction bars, fraction pieces or the fraction wall below useful to print out to help you. If you don't have a printer, you can make your own!

Monday 15th June

Today is our last lesson on equivalent fractions. It would be useful to either print the fraction wall or to have it up on your screen for this lesson. A ruler will also be helpful in identifying equivalences.

Wednesday 17th June

Today, we are ordering fractions. It will be helpful to have the fraction wall or fraction bars in front of you as you watch the lesson video. After 10:10 on the video (and question 7 on the worksheet), it moves onto Year 4 learning!  Have a go but don’t worry if it's a bit too tricky for now.

For question 5 on the worksheet, write down your thinking underneath.

Thursday 18th June

A different style of lesson today! Some of the problems on the video match the tasks but some don’t. You could choose your own order in which to tackle them.

On ‘The Symbol’ task, it wants you to double two-fifths, not doubling the numerator and denominator separately.

Friday 19th June

Today, you can either have a go at the Friday Challenge on the Year 3 page of the White Rose website or have a go at the challenge below. This challenge involves solving fraction problems but with some familiar fairy tale characters! It looks like good fun!
