Maths

This week, we will be exploring tens and hundredths and learning how to divide by 10 and 100. We will still be using the White Rose resources but all videos and worksheets have been downloaded ready for you below. If you don't have a printer, don't worry, just write the answers on paper or in a book.

Try to do Doodle Maths every day! Who will be at the top of the leader board this week?

Monday 8th June

Today we are exploring tenths as decimals. For question 8 on the worksheet, you probably won’t be able to discuss with a partner but you can still write down your reasons for your choice of representation.

Alternative work

You may find that you have already completed today's lesson early on in the lockdown period.  If this is the case and you feel confident with this area of maths, please use the alternative video link and worksheet below. This new lesson focuses on consolidating the skill of addition with one exchange when adding four digit numbers.

Thursday 11th June

Place value counters and charts (ones, tenths, hundredths) are available to print if you wish or you can make your own.

This programme ‘moving digits’ also demonstrates how the value of digits change when we divide by 10 or 100.

You will need two dice for the last task. If you don’t have these at home, you can use these interactive dice
