This week, we will continue using the Oak Academy for our English lessons. On their website, you will watch a video of a lesson taught by a teacher. Then, you be given some activities to have a go at.

These lessons will build up skills throughout the unit and you will produce a final written piece in lesson 5. Use the button in the right hand corner of the screen to navigate between sections of the lesson. You can pause the video and come back to it at any point.

This week, we will be continuing to read and explore the book 'The Firework Makers Daughter'. If you have not finished last week's lessons, you will need to finish those off first otherwise this week's learning will not make sense!

Remember to take a photo of your final piece every Friday to email in.

Don't forget the brilliant e-books on Bug Club.

She then asks you to carry on writing independently.

While you are writing, try really hard to write neatly. Don't forget capital letters and full stops.

Lesson 5: To write an action scene

When you have finished, ask a parent to take a photo of your fantastic action scene and send to the Year 2 email address to show Mrs Bertenshaw. She is really looking forward to reading your writing.
