This week, we will continue using the Oak Academy for our English lessons. On their website, you will watch a video of a lesson taught by a teacher. Then, you will be given some activities to have a go at.
These lessons will build up skills throughout the unit and you will produce a final written piece in lesson 5. Use the button in the right hand corner of the screen to navigate between sections of the lesson. You can pause the video and come back to it at any point.
If you have not finished last week's lessons, please finish those off first before starting a new unit. Remember to take a photo of your final piece every Friday to email in.
Don't forget the brilliant e-books on Bug Club.

Then, click on the link below and watch the video. Use the buttons on the bottom of the screen to navigate between activities. When you have listened to the input, answer the questions on lined paper or in your book. Then, play the video again to check your answers. At the end of the lesson, complete the quiz to see how well you have done.

When you close the video, there are slides with extra scaffolds on to help you. Make sure you write neatly with joined handwriting. When you have finished, edit your writing carefully. Please check your spellings and punctuation.
Lesson 5: Character Description: Writing a character description
When you have finished, and checked your writing carefully, take a photo of it and ask your parents to email to the Year 5 account. Mrs Simmons will be looking at your writing this week - she is really looking forward to seeing how much you've improved from Year 4! :)
